About us

We were founded in 2022 by Tabitha James. Previously the Head Editor of the Young Perspective, an online publication that sought to cater to the 16-24yo audience, Tabitha realised (after age caught up with her), that there was a gap in the publication market to write cultural reviews and thoughts for the ‘youngish’ demographic. Primarily our reviewing team is made up of those aged between 18-40 and we try and maintain a youthful approach to our reviews keeping this core demographic as our focus audience in our writing.

What do we do:

  • We regularly review theatre shows, musicals, opera and ballet from across the country.
  • Our reviewers are all within the target audience and are volunteers – all with day jobs, all in love with the arts.
  • We seek to provide balanced and informed reviews that promote art to A Young(ish) Perspective’s audience.
  • We provide the opportunity for our team to have a creative outlet and bring new ideas and opportunities to the publication.
  • We have teams based in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Oxford, Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

We are always looking for new reviewers and new venues to visit so please do reach out to us on the form below if you’re interested.
