REVIEW: Blood on the Clocktower: Live

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Some of the best drama you’ll find at the fringe!

With the rise of social games in media such as The Traitors, it’s always fun to see them translated to stage and Blood on the Clocktower does it perfectly.

An award winning social game in its own right, host Jon Gracey elevates it to one of the funniest nights I’ve had in ages. Joined by a changing line up of villagers tonight we had: Jenny Tian, Harry Jun, Sullivan Brown, Rufus Hound and Sally Hodgkiss.

The added drama of having a couple who had previously nearly split up playing the game definitely heightened the evening.

What’s most impressive of how accessible the show is even if you’ve never seen it. Gracey leads us through with wit and a steady hand (even if he may have lost a little control of the guests).

We’re all invested in the rivalries and madness straightway and honestly I was disappointed when the game finished.

Lies, manipulation and complete misunderstanding makes this show one of the best.
