Phil Henderson is a good guy, how do we know – his white cowboy hat of course. A clever narrative woven through about the difficulties of knowing who’s good or bad.
Highlighting these Phils jokes cut close to the bones, darkly funny and peppered with clever wordplay his pace never drops.
What sticks out about his show is the willingness to push the boundaries and still achieve the laughs, keeping the audience safe but never crossing that line, despite being oh so close to it.
It’s a shame the room wasn’t full because I reckon in a few years people will be rushing to say I was at his debut.
