Q The Music – James Bond Music Spectacular is a show I will return to year after year. This orchestra’s level of musical talent was extraordinary. I wanted to dance around the room the entire evening. I highly recommend this show and please keep in mind this is coming from someone who has never seen a Bond Movie, so if you are already a fan this is likely a sensational evening out for you.

This James Bond Music Spectacular is a phenomenal tribute to the entire Bond movie franchise, with arrangements of songs from the earliest of the Connery years, right up to the latest Daniel Craig blockbuster. Q The Music possesses the wow factor, from one extraordinary orchestra joint with some of the most incredible singers, plus one charismatic American host, this production has it all. I honestly felt I was transported to another world entirely last Sunday evening.

Warren Ringham is the main man behind this marvellous creation, as well as being the musical director and creator of this show Warren is also an amazing trumpet player and shares those skills with the audience throughout this on stage Bond extravaganza. Both Warren and the cast have just celebrated their 20th anniversary with Q The Music, this production has great potential continue on for decades to come.

October 13th 2024 was an evening of firsts for me, it was my first time seeing Q The Music Live in action and the first time I stepped foot into the Indigo 02, I can happily say that both the show and the venue made for a memorable night out in London. From the moment the orchestra began playing right through to them striking their final note the entire audience were in awe of these musicians and their incredible collective sound. Every single person on stage was clearly immensely talented in their own right, this made for a remarkable orchestra.

David Zaritsky, the host of the show was a joy to behold, he had a real warmth about him along with his masterful showmanship. You felt like you were in safe hands whenever he stepped onto the stage.

Kerry Schultz was a sparkling sensation, Kerry brought the stage to life with her seamless vocals and captivating stage presence. Kerry delivered a stunning vocal with both power and ease. She truly made each song her own and my personal favourite would have to be her rendition of Another Way To Die (From Quantum Of Solace). Kerry was pitch perfect and a force of nature, she had an art to her performance as she somehow managed to balance being powerful, sexy and classy simultaneously, the exact energy you want from a James Bond Tribute Show.

Matt Walker has an extraordinary vocal ability to take on songs like Writing On The Wall and deliver it as well as he did was quite remarkable. However, I personally would have loved to hear Matt make this incredibly iconic song his own. Whilst it was somewhat cool to be able to close my eyes and envision Sam Smith on stage as he sounded identical to him during this song, particularly at the start, I would have much preferred to hear this song performed with Matt’s own vocal stylings. This is a personal preference and I honestly applaud his vocal ability. Matt is a very talented musician both on vocals and multiple instruments.

I have to mention the set. at the top of the show the curtains open to an entire orchestra on stage with a woman in a gold bikini laying on a box at the front of the stage, still to this moment I’m not sure if that was was real person. Of course the singers and the host David Zaritsky would usually take to centre stage for their performances. Behind the orchestra were two fake-giant-gold-guns. My particular favourite piece of scenery had to be the old school Hollywood lights that were set throughout the orchestra. Both the music and lighting were always on point and in sync with one another creating some true onstage visual magic.

The only thing I will say is that as a women in her 30s, whilst sitting and watching this performance all I wanted to do was get up and dance to every single song. The music was so powerful and I found it hard to sit still to be honest. I would love to see the same show that caters to an audience on their feet. I know that Warren is clearly keen to listen to Q The Music Bond fans and this would be my suggestion as a brand new 007 fan. Perhaps even a chance to learn a dance number online via their friends and fans membership scheme? As a professional dancer I’d be more than happy to choreograph a piece or two for them. Q The Music also host what sounds like a magnificent retreat which I feel I’m gravitating towards purchasing my ticket, again that’s coming from a woman who has never seen a Bond Film in her life. That’s a testament to how spectacular this production is, this was a true James Bond Phenomenon.

Q The Music is an absolute must see, in addition to this incredibly talented cast I did not expect guest appearances from not only one but two of the early doors Bond Women, Maud Adams and Britt Eklan both on stage and sharing comedic stories from their days on set with Mr Roger Moore. The evening ended with a masterpiece of the hit song Licence To Kill, with many of the musicians up standing in their James Bond suits as fiery golden pyrotechnics light up the stage leaving you in amazement of the magic you have just witnessed.
