REVIEW: Wet Feet

Wet Feet by Michael Neri at The Union Theatre, 18th June 2024

Reading Time: 2 minutesWet Feet is a 2 person play written by Michael Neri and directed by Dominic Rouse. It tells the story of two men who meet in a gay sauna, one the younger confident Nathan, played by Matthew Edgar, and the other the older still closeted Franko played by Michael Neri, who also wrote the show. An unlikely romance begins to blossom as we find out more about the lives and idiosyncrasies of these two men.

REVIEW: The Tailor-Made Man

Reading Time: 2 minutesThe Tailor-Made Man is a play written by Claudio Macor, and was originally shown in London back in 1999. This new production is directed by Robert McWhir and stars Hugo Pilcher, as the “Golden Age of Hollywood” movie star William ‘Billy’ Haines. It tells the true story of his life in Hollywood as a (unknown to the public at large) gay man, and the trials and tribulations of this. 

REVIEW: Wish You Weren’t Here

Reading Time: 2 minutesWish You Weren't Here is a one act 2 hander play written by Katie Redford, and directed by Rob Watt. It stars Eleanor Henderson as Lorna, a 32 year old mother who wants to recapture the joy of family holidays to Scarborough from when her daughter was younger, and Olivia Pentelow as Mila, who plays the now 16 year old daughter who would much rather be with her friends in London than stuck in a seaside town in a dodgy B&B with her mother.
