“A flawless hour of impressive character comedy”
Casey Filips brings us Tobias Finlay-Fraser – the greatest actor of our generation, well, in his mind. It’s a simple set up, we join him at an audition and dive straight into stereotypical gags about actors. I am definitely the target audience for this show.
Early on you wonder how Filips will keep the energy and theme throughout an hour, but no worries there. There’s switches and changes of pace, from giant pictures of his face, to audience interaction.
Filips not only navigates improv but never loses the hardcore character throughout. In fact many have been surprised to find out Filips is Australian because his accent work is impeccable,
It’s a powerhouse performance and the show is creative, funny and weird in the best ways.
Highly recommend it.
